Professor Clive Fraser CRC for Spatial Information secures additional funding

$32.2 million was awarded to CRCSI. The Centre's goal is to use spatial information technologies to analyse data to improve health and sustainability outcomes, agricultural productivity and manage energy infrastructure and contribute to national defence. Geomatics' involvement is led through Professors Clive Fraser and Ian Bishop.

At this years gathering of the GSDI in the Netherlands, Assoc Prof Rajabifard led a team of researchers and received important recognition, along with the association's presidency for the next 3 years.

Dr Matt Duckham, Senior Lecturer in Geographic Information Science says what makes this addition to whereis.com different from existing navigation systems is that it identifies the most suitable landmarks based on cognitive principles.
