Welcome to the Department of Geomatics Site. The site is divided into a number of user homepages. We suggest that you bookmark the homepage most appropriate to you. There are sections devoted to areas of research and student interests, special events and news, people and contact information, and general information.

In order to better assist you when navigating the site, the following navigational devices have been provided. Please note that while these items are already being used on the top levels of the Department's and the University's site, their implementation across the remainder of the site will be a gradual process.

The search button graphic gives you direct access to the Department of Geomatics Search Engine. Use the search engine when you are looking for a particular page (but can't remember where it is, or are unsure if it still exists), or if you are just browsing this site.

Each of the pages on this site contains a blue bar with the words "Department of Geomatics" at the top. Pressing this bar will return you to the Department of Geomatics Home Page from whatever page you may be looking at.

The question mark button graphic gives you direct access to this page, from nearly any page on the Department's Site.

The University's logo provides direct access to the University's Homepage, from all parts of the site.

Special Announcement buttons are provided on the Home Page, enabling speedy access to special events.

At the base of every Department of Geomatics page there are three pop up menus providing speedy access to;

• particular pages within the Geomatics Site;
• frequently used items across the University of Melbourne; and,
• Faculties and Schools of the University of Melbourne.

Access to the Pop Up menus can be obtained on smaller monitors (640 x 480) by clicking on the graphic. This will bring the Pop Up menus into view.
