Annual Dinner

The annual dinner started in 1964 to farewell Prof. J Thornton-Smith and was the event behind the forming of MUSSA and eventually MUGS. Please click the above link for a detailed history behind the birth of this club!

The Annual Dinner has grown into the most important event on the MUGS calendar, where academic awards are presented, a 3 course meal provided, links with industry established but most importantly a great night of fun for all.  Alcohol is free after all! ;-)

Annual Pool Championship

What's not to love about a game of pool and sinking a couple (or a dozen) drinks with your fellow Geomatic Engineers.  Some genius in 2000 decided to formalise it into the Annual Championships.  Now pairs of Geos do battle for the coveted MUGS Pool Champions Trophy in a night of drinks, pool and great moments! In the words of a famous Irish brewer: BRI-W-ILLIANT!

MU vs RMIT Netball match

Soon a footy match was not enough and so netball was added to the program.  The first netball match was played in 1989.
