Integrated Spatial Systems, Geosensor Networks
Research interests
His research interest is the processing of spatio-temporal information aiming at a better understanding of the dynamics in natural and built environments. His current research addresses dynamic systems by means of distributed spatial computing and geosensor networks. Additional keywords describing his interests include spatio-temporal data mining, movement patterns, exploratory (spatial) data analysis.
Biography
Patrick Laube studied Geography at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, specialising in geographical information science, remote sensing, and physical geography. His Ph.D. thesis covered the analysis of movement data, presenting an approach for spatio-temporal data mining basing on movement pattern detection and visualisation. Recently Patrick was a research fellow at the Spatial Analysis Facility at the University of Auckland, NZ, and a visiting scholar at the GeoVISTA Center at Penn State University, PA, USA.
