The Centre has recently published a book on Spatially Enabled Societies. It is dedicated to Professor Ian Williamson and includes contributions from Australian and international experts:

In other SEG news: Professor Ian Williamson was recently appointed Chair of the UN supported PCGIAP Working Group on "Spatially enabled government". Dr. Abbas Rajabifard was made Vice-Chair. Here, Prof. Williamson explains the challenges set by transformational spatial technologies. These technologies, if introduced in government and society, can assist delivery of sustainable development and transform the way information services are delivered. The Centre has named this vision iLand. Land information, spatial information and more specifically the cadastre will become fundamental tools of government. Read more here and here. See more here. |
