Research Topic: The Spatial Dimension of Native Title in Victoria Research Interests: Aboriginal land tenure and the incorporation with the Torrens system through the application of the Native Title Act 1993. The manner by which Aboriginal interests in land are determined and delineated for the Native Title process, the future directions of native title and the responses required to facilitate this change in a legal, technical and administrative domain. General research interests include: Customary land tenure systems and the interaction with mainstream tenure systems, the cohesion between customary tenure systems and the environment, the development of remote sensing and www technologies to disseminate and display land based information.

Recently completed a Bachelor of Geomatics (hons) at The University of Melbourne (1998), commenced a Masters of Geomatics Science in March 1999.

Surveying Work Experience:

Glens Surveys, Orpington, Kent, England: 1997 - 1998.

Gained valuable work experience in England with the Glens Survey firm. Position within the firm was as a survey assistant. Experience gained in topographic surveys, building surveys, volume surveys, instrument calibration and with the AutoCad design package.

Land Victoria, Melbourne: 1998 - 1999

Undertook a number of projects within Land Victoria. These projects included: 1) Assessment of the services provided at the Land and Survey Information Centre (LSIC). 2) Developing a fee structure for the new online version of PRISM, a database of land sales information made available to real estate agents and valuers. 3) Online Service Delivery for the resources of LSIC.

Other Interests:

Play hockey for Melbourne University Hockey Club.

Represented The University of Melbourne at the Australian University Games in both hockey ('95 - '98) and athletics ('95).

- Managed the Melbourne University hockey team at the 1998 Australian University Games, this position involved organising team uniforms, accommodation, selection and training arrangements.
