Library resources

geomatics@library

This link is a library guide and literature searching guide for Geomatics at the University of Melbourne libraries: geomatics@library

Current Geomatics holdings

The links below take you to dynamic publication lists generated by the library catalogue. Lists have been created using keyword searches based on geomatics-related topics. Select a list to re-run the relevant search and up to date results. The lists are not exhaustive but they provide a starting point from which you can explore the publications available in the subject areas listed.

Note the Location, Call number and Status of any item in the library catalogue that you would like to locate. 'Status' information tells you if an item is available, out on loan (due date appears), or on order. Locations you will commonly see are Engin = Engineering Library, Archit = Architecture, Baill = Baillieu, EarthSci = Earth Sciences, ERC = Education Resource Centre. Where are these libraries?

Geomatics Journals & Magazines

This is a select list, A-Z by title. Links go to the library catalogue where you can check details of print holdings and connect to electronic full text where available. Can't find the journal you want here? Search the library catalogue by title.

More resources on the Web

Use databases such as Web of Science, INSPEC, Current Contents and Compendex, available from the Geomatics Buddy menu, to search for geomatics-related journal articles and conference papers.

See Spatial Odyssey at the University of Maine www.odyssey.maine.edu/gisweb for tables of contents of many GIS conference proceedings and collections of articles published since 1991.

Browse contents by year and publication title, or use the Spatial Odyssey search engine to locate papers.
